HGV Class 2 ADR Driver - South Kirkby

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 ADR Drivers to join our client's growing transport operation based in South Kirkby and the surrounding areas.

\n

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced ADR drivers who are looking for stability, excellent earning potential, and long-term career progression.

\n

This role would particularly suit applicants with previous experience as a Class 2 Driver, LGV Driver, HGV Driver, Category C Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, ADR Driver, Tanker Driver, or Distribution Driver.

Rates of Pay:

\n

    \n
  • £17.00 per hour

\n\n

Shift Pattern:

\n

    \n
  • Monday to Friday
  • \n

  • Start times between 5:00am and 7:00am

\n\n

Day-to-Day Duties:

\n

As an HGV Class 2 ADR Driver, you will work:

\n

    \n
  • Safely operating and driving Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations
  • \n

  • Transporting packed goods ADR consignments and completing low-pressure discharge deliveries
  • \n

  • Completing loading and unloading tasks with care and accuracy
  • \n

  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects to management
  • \n

  • Adhering to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
  • \n

  • Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
  • \n

  • Communicating effectively with dispatch teams, customers, and site staff

\n\n

Essential Skills:

\n

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 ADR Driver, you will need:

\n

    \n
  • A valid UK Category C Licence
  • \n

  • A valid CPC Card
  • \n

  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • \n

  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes)
  • \n

  • A valid ADR Certificate
  • \n

  • A reliable, professional, and punctual approach to work
  • \n

  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • \n

  • A good understanding of road safety and compliance requirements

\n\n

Desirable Experience:

\n

    \n
  • Previous experience completing ADR deliveries
  • \n

  • Previous Class 2 driving experience
  • \n

  • Experience working within the transport and logistics sector
  • \n

  • Good customer interaction and service skills

\n\n

Training:

\n

    \n
  • Full industry-related training provided
  • \n

  • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment

\n\n
