Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services

London

Permanent | Full-time | Hybrid

I’m recruiting for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established and growing Building Services & Low Carbon Engineering Consultancy in central London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Building Services Engineer looking for greater autonomy, technically challenging projects and genuine career progression within a collaborative engineering environment.

You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of projects including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, public sector and low-carbon/net-zero developments.

The role:

⚡ Lead the electrical design on selected projects

Produce calculations, specifications and drawings

Work across projects from inception through to completion

Attend senior-level meetings and present directly to clients

Support and guide junior engineers on project delivery

Design HV/LV systems and wider electrical building services

Support the integration of renewable technologies and embedded generation

Help drive technical excellence across the wider engineering team

What I’m looking for:

✅ 5+ years' Electrical Building Services design experience

✅ Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical / Building Services Engineering

✅ Strong understanding of HV/LV systems

✅ Experience delivering projects through multiple design stages

✅ Experience with Amtech, Revit and Relux/Dialux

✅ Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and British/European Standards

✅ CIBSE/IET membership and working towards Chartership advantageous

✅ BREEAM and HTM knowledge beneficial

✅ Understanding of renewable technologies and embedded generation

✅ Confident, client-facing communication skills
