Interim Financial Controller

London (Hybrid)

Up to £500 a day

Pearse Portfolio are supporting a high-growth international fintech business in looking for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to lead the finance function through a period of scale.

This is a hands-on role owning the day-to-day running of finance while bringing structure and rigour to processes built for growth. You will sit close to the leadership team and play a central part in tightening controls, reporting, and month-end as the business matures.

What you will do

• Own month-end close, management accounts, and the reporting cycle
• Strengthen financial controls, processes, and systems in a fast-moving environment
• Manage and develop a small transactional finance team
• Partner with leadership on cash, forecasting, and board reporting
• Support audit readiness and improve the quality of financial data

What you will bring

• Qualified accountant, audit trained(ACA, ACCA, CAANZ)
• Proven Financial Controller experience, ideally in fintech, payments, or another regulated, high-growth environment
• Strong technical accounting and a genuine controls mindset
• Comfortable operating hands-on in a scaling business with imperfect processes
