7.5 Tonne Driver

Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Radlett Depot. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00am starts
Pay Rates: £17.61 PAYE Per Hour, over time after 40 hours £24.99 per hour PAYE
Location: AL2 2FL
Job Type: Ongoing

The role:

.Collections and deliveries required (deliveries will be up to 15 stops and collections up to 10)
Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
. Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
Handle occasional push roller cages as needed, assisting sites with movement when required.
Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision, including shunting duties when required.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:
Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1)
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
Excellent communication skills.
A safety-first mindset.
