Class 2 Driver

Job description

Rapid Recruit are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for our client based in Bacup. You will be working as part of a small, supportive team, responsible for the collection of domestic and commercial waste across local areas.

The working hours are Tuesday to Friday 6:45am 4:15pm (may be ad hoc) at £14.13 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 collection vehicles on designated routes
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects
• Collect household, recycling and commercial waste efficiently
• Adhere to all health & safety procedures, using PPE at all times
• Work closely with loaders and remain alert to public and road hazards
• Complete required paperwork and comply with driving regulations.

Requirements

• Availability at short notice and for standby cover
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Flexible approach, including assisting as a loader when required
• Valid Class 2 licence, CPC card and tachograph card (essential)
• Previous experience preferred but not essential new drivers welcome.
