This role is suited to an experienced driver who is confident completing retail store deliveries and providing a reliable, professional service. About the company This organisation operates distribution centres supporting retail stores across Great Britain. It specialises in frozen food and also supplies a broader range of everyday groceries and household essentials. Its distribution and transport teams help maintain regular store deliveries and support efficient day-to-day retail operations. Key responsibilities Complete planned retail store deliveries safely and efficiently Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects or issues Load, secure and handle goods in line with company procedures Complete delivery paperwork and obtain relevant delivery confirmations Maintain high standards of punctuality, customer service and professionalism Follow all applicable road safety, transport and site procedures Skills and qualifications Current HGV Class 1 driving entitlement Required Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Experience of retail store deliveries Good knowledge of road safety and drivers hours requirements xohmjla Reliable, punctual and able to work independently Professional communication and customer service skills Physically able to support delivery and handling duties where required Benefits £18 to £22 per hour Minimum of 8 hours paid Paid every Wednesday Opportunity to be visible to local employers Day shifts Temporary work in Solihull If you are an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver seeking temporary daytime work, apply today.
