The role

We are seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver to support retail store deliveries from the Tamworth area. This temporary, day-shift opportunity is suited to a reliable and safety-focused driver who takes pride in delivering a professional service.
Start times vary from 0400 am and the shifts are 10/12 hours long, store deliveries. You will be delivering and locking the stores after.
This will be cages.

Key responsibilities

Complete scheduled retail store deliveries safely and on time
Carry out required vehicle checks before and after each shift
Load, secure and transport goods in line with relevant procedures
Complete delivery paperwork and obtain proof of delivery where required
Communicate professionally with store contacts and report any issues promptly
Maintain high standards of road safety, vehicle care and customer service

Skills and qualifications

Valid HGV Class 1 licence
Experience carrying out retail store deliveries
Good knowledge of UK roads and route planning
Strong awareness of vehicle safety and load security
Reliable, punctual and professional approach
Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules

Benefits

£19 to £27 per hour
Paid every Wednesday
