ICTUK is currently seeking a highly motivated Process Technician to join the Paper Mill team.

The successful candidate will be part of a small team providing technical support to Paper Mill Operations to produce a quality product in an efficient, safe and cost-effective way.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the Production Operation by testing, monitoring and reporting stock and water consistencies across a range of processes
  • Ensure that water and effluent daily meter readings are taken and recorded in a timely manner and assist with water and effluent efficiency on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor and control boiler chemistry keeping records up to date
  • Responsible for the maintenance, calibration and operation of the effluent sampler
  • Arrange and manage the sampling regime, including samples such as composite effluent, storm water, skip moistures and prescribed substances
  • Oversee any contractors ensuring that all work is completed safely and according to site rules and procedures
  • Adapt to any changes in operating procedures and equipment that are necessary to ensure the smooth running of the plant and equipment under your control
  • To actively participate, communicate and feedback on any trial/development/CAPEX work to enhance the performance of the operation


Required knowledge Experience

  • Effluent plant operations
  • Industrial boiler maintenance
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes
  • IT literacy including Microsoft word, Excel etc
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
