Location: Nr High Wycombe
Day rate: £350 to £425 per day (Outside IR35)
Contract: 4-6 weeks
Start date: ASAP
Travel: Site Based
We are recruiting for an Interim Health and Safety Manager to support an established M&E contractor working on an M&E project. The role will be based near to High Wycombe and will provide operational health and safety management on this specific project on a 4-6 week contract.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Conduct site inspections and site safety walks
• Review and approving of RAMS
• Monitoring of safe working practices
• Support the project management teams on the project
• Manage the H&S interaction with the company’s sub-contractors
• Create a strong working relationship the Principal Contractor
• Toolbox talks when required
• Identifying any H&S concerns and ensuring corrective action is taking
• Offer overall H&S guidance / advice on the project.
The person
We are looking for a credible and experienced construction health and safety professional who can step into a short term contract and hit the ground running.
You will ideally have:
• Experience within M&E / Data Centre Projects (wider construction experience is considered)
• Strong working knowledge of CDM requirements
• Strong working knowledge of PUWER, LOLER and COSHH
• Any lifting operations experience is desirable but not essential
• Be happy to work a visible, site-based role
• The ability to engage and influence at all levels
• A practical and commercially aware approach.
• Be available to start immediately
