Location: Pershore, Worcestershire
Salary: £18.00 to £20.00 per hour

A logistics business in Pershore is looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join its driving team on a permanent basis. This role can be days or nights and even weekends offering competitive hourly pay and regular weekly payment.

The role offers the opportunity to join a local driving operation, delivering refrigerated produced goods as well as a mix of trailer swaps on the route. The role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

Driving an HGV Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly
Completing planned deliveries and collections as well as safe manouvers of trailer swaps
Carrying out fridge work and handling temperature-controlled loads
Completing vehicle checks before and after each journey
Ensuring paperwork and delivery records are completed accurately
Following road safety, transport and site procedures
Representing the business professionally when dealing with customers and delivery points

About you

You should have:

A valid HGV Class 1 licence
Relevant commercial driving experience - at least 1 year
Experience of fridge work or temperature-controlled deliveries
A professional and dependable approach
Good knowledge of safe driving practices and no more than 6 points
The ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
Good communication and organisational skills
