Class 1 Driver - Woodthorpe

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Class 1 Driver driver to work with a leading logistics company in Woodthorpe. We are looking for a reliable professional to join the team, ensuring goods are transported safely and efficiently across various locations.

Shift patterns:
* Gist Chesterfield operates 7 days per week on a 24-hour basis, offering flexible shift patterns and start times.

Pay rates:
* £17.33 to £23.38 GBP hourly

Essential requirements for Class 1 Driver:
* Full UK Driving Licence (C+E)
* Digital Tachograph Card + CPC (Driver Qualification)
* 12+ Months Minimum Class 1 Driver Driving Experience
* No More than 6 points on Licence (Including DR, DD, IN, TT)

Desirable requirements for Class 1 Driver:
* Previous Class 1 Driver driving experience (6+ months preferred)
* Experience with RDC, trunking, and store deliveries
* Familiarity with curtainsiders, refrigerated units, and box trailers
* Good knowledge of UK road network and major distribution centres
* Experience completing PODs, delivery paperwork, or handheld scanners
* Strong customer service skills and experience with manual handling
* Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Team player with a customer-focused approach

Role for Class 1 Driver:
* Transport goods safely and efficiently across various locations
* Perform regular vehicle checks and maintain vehicle standards
* Complete delivery paperwork, PODs, and use handheld scanners
* Manage manual loading and unloading tasks
* Navigate the UK road network effectively
