Senior Product Designer / Researcher

Pulse Group is looking for a Senior Product Designer / Researcher

Job description

The Company

Pulse Group are partnering exclusively with one of the UK's most recognised media organisations to find a Senior Product Designer with a strong Research & Insights specialism to join their growing Product Design team.

Working across digital products used by millions of people every day, this is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves getting under the skin of user behaviour and turning genuine insight into better product experiences.

The Role

This is a genuinely hybrid position sitting across Product Design and UX Research.

You'll take a leading role in how the Product team understands its users, conducting research from early discovery through to concept validation and optimisation, while remaining hands-on with Product Design in Figma.

A particularly important part of the role will be owning and evolving Maze across the Product team, establishing best practices, reusable studies and research frameworks as the business continues to build its research capability in-house.

You'll then turn those insights into action, designing user journeys, concepts, wireframes and prototypes, and working closely with Product Managers and Engineers through to delivery and experimentation.

What You'll Be Doing:

Product Design + Research: Lead research across key product challenges while remaining hands-on across the Product Design process

Research Leadership: Plan and conduct generative and evaluative research, including interviews, usability testing and moderated/unmoderated studies

Maze: Own and evolve Maze, helping establish research best practice, reusable studies and frameworks across Product

Insight to Action: Combine research and behavioural data to uncover user needs and turn insight into meaningful product decisions

Hands-on Design: Use Figma to translate insight into journeys, concepts, wireframes and prototypes

Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering and senior stakeholders from discovery through to delivery and experimentation

Consumer Experience: Previous experience working across Media, Publishing or consumer-facing digital products

So, if you're a Product Designer who LOVES Research, or a Researcher who LOVES Product Design, and you want a role where you can genuinely combine the two, we'd love to hear from you.
