As a Residential Graduate (Res Grad), youwill play a key role in supporting the boarding houses while also contributingto the vibrant sporting life of the school. This is an exciting opportunity fora recent graduate with a passion for sport, coaching, and pastoral care to helpnurture Bootham's unique atmosphere of friendship, care, and belonging, both onand off the field.

Both of our boarding houses-Fox for boys and Rowntree forgirls-are places where students can relax, recharge, and feel comfortable intheir home away from home. Your presence will help ensure that all boarders aresafe, supported, and have a space where they can truly be themselves. Alongsideyour boarding responsibilities, you will play an active role in supportingsports provision at Bootham, helping with coaching, fixtures, trainingsessions, and encouraging participation and enthusiasm across a range ofsporting activities.

You will live in the boarding house, in separate accommodation,ensuring you can provide support when needed while also having the space tounwind. As a Res Grad, you'll be part of a close-knit team that works togetherto provide a warm, inclusive atmosphere. Whether it's offering a listening ear,supporting students pastorally, assisting at sports practices and fixtures, orengaging with students in activities during evenings and weekends, you willhelp every boarder feel supported, encouraged, and fully involved in schoollife.

Your role will involve working closely with the Heads of House,House Parents, and the PE Department, assisting with the day-to-day running ofthe boarding houses while contributing to the wider co-curricular programme.You will help organise and lead weekend activities and sporting opportunitiesthat support the boarders' personal development, wellbeing, teamwork, andconfidence. The school day will offer opportunities for you to develop yourcoaching and leadership skills through involvement in Bootham's sportsprogramme, while evenings and weekends will see you actively contributing tothe wider boarding community and helping to create a positive and energeticatmosphere.
