A rare chance to lead VAT advisory work from inside a fast-growing technology business, rather than a traditional accounting firm. This company builds VAT expertise into a genuine product and technology environment, addressing a structural gap in the market that very few roles like this fill.

Most senior VAT professionals at this career stage face a binary choice: partnership track, or a move in-house that steps away from advisory work. This is a genuine third path, high-growth, low-hierarchy, with real commercial autonomy and long term financial upside.

We’re looking for someone currently at senior manager to early director level within a top-tier advisory firm, who is commercially minded and starting to question the traditional partner track. Strong technical credibility is essential, as clients need to trust this person’s expertise immediately. Ideally, they’ll be comfortable working across both advisory and compliance-style work rather than sitting purely on one side of the fence.

The Role

• Senior, client-facing VAT leader who is also commercially active in developing new business , expertise-led, not a sales function.
• Leads an established team with strong existing technical depth.
• Works across both advisory and delivery-side VAT work, with scope to take on broader leadership over time.
• Client base skews enterprise and mid-market, with a strong cross-border trade dimension.
• Based in the wider London region; hybrid working style.
