Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Major Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner to work within a well-established private hospital in Bristol.

The successful candidate will provide safe, high-quality perioperative care and work as an integral member of the theatre team during major orthopaedic procedures. Responsibilities will include preparing the operating theatre, checking surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining strict aseptic and sterile techniques, assisting surgeons throughout procedures, anticipating surgical requirements and ensuring patient safety at all times.

We are looking for a professional, reliable and confident practitioner with strong major orthopaedic theatre experience, excellent clinical skills and the ability to work effectively within a busy multidisciplinary theatre team.

Requirements

• Current NMC or HCPC registration
• Previous UK theatre/scrub experience
• Proven experience in major orthopaedic surgery
• Good knowledge of surgical instruments and orthopaedic equipment
• Excellent understanding of infection prevention and aseptic techniques
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary theatre team
• Right to work in the UK
