Job Purpose :
-To pick stock to be delivered to customers
-To deliver stock to customer in a timely manner
-To collect returns and cash from customers and return to branch
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
A Van Driver must be able to work on their own but also as part of a team, completing a variety of jobs in the process, such as picking stock from the warehouse for delivery. (This will include some heavy lifting) Delivering stock to customers, based on the days runs/routes. Collecting stock (and occasionally payment) from Customers and returning to the Branch. You must have the ability to work quickly, accurately and safely.
Key Tasks:
-To organise deliveries in a prompt and efficient manner and to maintain accurate records as required
-Pick orders
-To maintain good customer relations by being courteous and helpful at all times and to report any problems that may arise from goods or services supplied by the Company
-To ensure secure collection of payment for all cash on delivery invoices at time of delivery, unless otherwise directed by the Manager, and to ensure its accuracy
-To immediately notify Manager of any vehicle defects and give advance warning of vehicle maintenance schedule
-To assist in the Warehouse with putting stock away, picking and audit support
-Complying with company Health and Safety Requirements
Key Attributes:
-Good knowledge of automotive parts
-Good understanding of cars
-Excellent communication and organisational skills while working within a busy depot
-Ability to work quickly, accurately and safely
-Ability to adapt
-Willingness to learn if training is required
-High levels of focus, energy and drive
-Knowledge of the local area and customer base would be an advantage
Qualifications/Experience:
-Clean and Full UK Driving Licence: 2 years (required)
-Experience of having worked in a similar environment/role key: 1 year (preferred)
-Great communication skills demonstrate the ability to develop customer relationships and drive customer connectivity
Working Hours
-Full-time, Permanent
-Between 08:30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
-08:30am to 1:00pm Every 1 in 2 Saturdays
