Fawkes & Reece are proud to be working with a leading specialist contractor delivering high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across London.

They are looking to bring an Architect from an architectural practice or consultancy into their team, offering the opportunity to move into the contractor side while continuing to work within the commercial sector.

The role would suit an Architect who has experience delivering commercial office projects, particularly CAT A, CAT B, refurbishment, fit-out or technically focused projects, and is now looking to become more involved in the construction and delivery process.

You will work closely with the wider design and project teams, helping to manage design development, technical information, coordination and delivery from the contractor's perspective.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage design development from concept through to construction
• Coordinate design information across consultants and project teams
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information
• Liaise with architects, consultants, subcontractors and site teams
• Support technical delivery across CAT A / CAT B projects
• Identify and resolve design and coordination issues
• Ensure designs are buildable, compliant and delivered to programme

The ideal candidate will have:

• ARB/RIBA qualification or equivalent experience
• Experience working on commercial office projects
• Background in CAT A / CAT B fit out, refurbishment or similar
• Strong technical and design coordination skills
• Experience working with consultants, contractors and project teams
• A genuine interest in moving from practice/consultancy into a contractor environment
