Executive Assistant to Founder

Liberty Towers is looking for a Executive Assistant to Founder

Job description

Executive Assistant to Founder

Location: London

Working pattern: Full-time, predominantly office-based

Travel: Occasional travel may be required

The opportunity

We are recruiting an exceptional Executive Assistant to support an entrepreneurial Founder across a portfolio of businesses, investments and personal interests.

This is a trusted, high-impact position for someone who enjoys bringing structure to a fast-moving environment. Priorities can change quickly, plans will sometimes move at short notice, and no two days will be quite the same.

Working closely with the Founder and senior team members, you will take ownership of the diary, communications, travel and day-to-day co-ordination that keep everything moving. You will need to anticipate what is coming, exercise sound judgement and resolve issues without waiting for every step to be explained.

This is not a conventional corporate EA position with a narrow or rigid remit. It offers considerable variety, responsibility and access for someone who genuinely enjoys operating at the centre of a founder-led environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a complex and frequently changing calendar across business and personal commitments
  • Co-ordinating meetings across multiple international time zones
  • Acting as the first point of contact for emails, calls and messages
  • Assessing what requires the Founder’s immediate attention and what can be handled independently
  • Arranging domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries and last-minute changes
  • Liaising with senior colleagues, advisers, business partners and external contacts
  • Keeping track of priorities, actions and follow-ups to ensure nothing is missed
  • Handling a varied mixture of business and personal administration
  • Preparing briefing notes, correspondence, presentations and other documents
  • Managing sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion
  • Identifying potential problems and resolving them before they reach the Founder
  • Creating greater structure and efficiency around the Founder’s working life

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant supporting a Founder, CEO, entrepreneur or other senior principal
  • Experience gained within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial or founder-led environment
  • Exceptional organisation and the ability to manage several competing priorities
  • The confidence to make decisions, use initiative and keep matters moving independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong judgement, emotional intelligence and attention to detail
  • A calm, practical approach when plans change or pressure increases
  • Complete discretion when handling confidential business and personal matters
  • Confidence using modern workplace technology and digital communication tools
  • The flexibility to travel occasionally when required
  • The right to work in the UK

An important point about responsiveness

Occasionally, genuinely time-sensitive matters will arise outside standard working hours. Reliable responsiveness in those situations is essential and will be discussed openly during the interview process.

This role will therefore suit someone who understands the realities of supporting an active Founder and is comfortable balancing flexibility with good judgement.

Why consider this opportunity?

You will be working closely with the principal rather than operating through layers of management. The position offers considerable trust, autonomy and variety, together with the opportunity to become an integral part of a growing entrepreneurial organisation.

It would particularly suit an accomplished EA who enjoys being relied upon, likes creating order from complexity and wants a role in which their contribution will be noticed and valued.
