Taskmaster are currently looking to recruit a Class 1Driver to join our client is based in Cambridge to start immediately.

Hours: Start: 6/7am and finish: 5/6pm approx.
Pay rate : £15.52ph

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Carry out daily walk-around checks of the vehicle, raising defects where appropriate.
All goods are fully palletised.
Inspect load safety before leaving the depot and request for items to be reloaded if necessary to avoid unnecessary damage and so as to ensure safety.
Drive the vehicle safely in accordance with the law and company policies at all times and be respectful of other road users.
Check goods off with delivery sites and obtain signature and print.
Understand tachographs and drivers hours regulations and comply with them at all times.
Report any accidents as soon as possible in line with the company accident procedure.
Attend essential training when required.
Provide excellent customer service.
Maintain the cleanliness of the cab.
Generally short delivery distances, tramping is all available for those that would like to.

REQUIREMENTS:
A HGV1 /C+E/ class 1 licence.
A valid Driver Qualification card (Driver CPC card).
A digital tachograph (Essential).
A good understanding of drivers hours and working time.
A good knowledge of UK roads.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible and be able to work well within a team.
