Van Driver / Removals Operative Location: G32, Glasgow Pay: £13.50 per hour PAYE / £17.00 per hour Umbrella Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am 4:00pm Contract: Temporary initially

We are currently recruiting Van Drivers / Removals Operatives to work with a removals company based in the G32 area of Glasgow.
This is a great opportunity for reliable van drivers looking for regular Monday-to-Friday work who are comfortable with the physical demands of removals.
The Role You will be involved in home and business removals of varying sizes . This is not a multi-drop driving role .
You will always work as part of a team of 2 or more people , assisting with the safe loading, transportation and unloading of furniture, equipment and other items.
Your responsibilities will include:
Driving a van to and from removal locations
Loading and unloading furniture and belongings
Carrying and moving heavy items
Assisting with household and business relocations
Working effectively as part of a team
Ensuring items are handled carefully and securely
Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
About You You must be comfortable with the physical demands of removals , as the role involves significant lifting, carrying and moving furniture and other heavy items.
We are looking for people who are:
Reliable and punctual
Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
Comfortable driving a van
Comfortable working as part of a team
Customer-focused and professional
Flexible when jobs run beyond the expected finish time
Previous removals experience is beneficial but not essential
Important Information The usual working hours are 7:30am 4:00pm , but finish times cannot always be guaranteed .
Some jobs may run later than 4:00pm, particularly when there are delays with property moves, such as waiting for keys. You will therefore be expected to remain with the team until the job is completed.
This is a physically demanding role and is not suitable for anyone who is unable to undertake regular heavy lifting and manual handling. Xohmjla
