Senior Associate, Sanctions Solicitor - Leading International Firm (5+ PQE)

Job description

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate to join its London office. The team advises on a broad mix of regulatory, sanctions, and commercial disputes matters, often with an international dimension and a focus on sectors such as trade, transport, and financial services.

The Role

This position offers a combination of advisory and contentious work across sanctions and commercial disputes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on the impact and application of UK, EU, and U.S. Sanctions regimes.
  • Supporting investigations, regulatory enquiries, and enforcement-related matters.
  • Assisting clients with compliance frameworks, including due diligence and risk mitigation.
  • Acting on a range of commercial disputes, including contractual and trade-related claims.
  • Drafting agreements and advising on risk allocation in commercial and financing contexts.
  • Supporting litigation, arbitration, and settlement processes across multiple jurisdictions.

Candidate Profile

  • England & Wales qualified
  • 5+ PQE
  • Experience in disputes, regulatory, or sanctions-related matters.
  • Exposure to cross-border work or international clients is beneficial.
  • Strong drafting skills and a commercially focused approach.
