Job description
Ready to get stuck into some genuinely interesting commercial legal work?
We’re working with Monster Energy to find two Marketing Paralegals to join its EMEA Legal team on 6-month temporary contracts.
This is a great opportunity for a Paralegal looking to build on their commercial contract experience and get involved in the full lifecycle of marketing and sponsorship agreements – from drafting and reviewing through to negotiation and execution.
What will you be doing?
You’ll work closely with Monster’s Legal and Marketing teams, supporting a broad range of agreements connected to some of the brand’s most exciting activity.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Drafting and reviewing marketing and sponsorship agreements
- Working on agreements covering sponsorships, brand partnerships, media, services and IP licensing
- Working directly with Marketing to make sure contracts accurately reflect agreed commercial terms
- Reviewing and responding to vendor redlines and contractual amendments
- Supporting contractual negotiations and liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Managing agreements through to signature and execution
- Updating and maintaining contract templates and forms
- Supporting with terms and conditions, disclaimers and consumer promotions where required
- Getting involved in wider legal projects and ad hoc commercial work
- The role offers genuine ownership rather than simply drafting a document and handing it over. You'll have the opportunity to understand why the contract is needed, work with the people involved, and see it through to completion.
What are we looking for?
We're open to candidates at different stages of their Paralegal career. You might already have solid commercial Paralegal experience, either in-house or in private practice, or you could be at an earlier stage and looking for an opportunity to develop your contract drafting and commercial experience.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous Paralegal experience, preferably within a commercial legal environment
- Experience of drafting and/or reviewing commercial contracts
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple pieces of work and competing priorities
- A collaborative, proactive approach
- Good commercial awareness and curiosity about the wider business
- Confidence communicating with different stakeholders
- A willingness to get stuck in and take ownership of your work
- An LLB and LPC would be advantageous, but we're more interested in the experience, attitude and potential you bring to the role.
The temp contracts are expected to run for 6 months, with a target start around late September/early October.
If you're a commercially minded Paralegal who wants to get involved, make an impact and learn quickly, we'd love to hear from you!
