Location: London (hybrid 2/3 days in the office)
HOUSEHOLD NAME
The Opportunity
An international, high growth household name is looking for a UK lawyer with a background in corporate, capital markets and securities compliance, with an additional focus on US securities matters.
The role combines a broad corporate remit with exposure to US listing, SEC and capital markets requirements, offering direct exposure with senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders.
The Role
- Advise on corporate, corporate finance and capital markets matters.
- Support US securities compliance, SEC reporting and disclosure requirements.
- Advise on matters relating to a US-listed business and its ongoing obligations.
- Support UK/EU corporate matters alongside US securities work.
- Work on cross-border matters involving UK/EU and US legal considerations.
- Partner with Finance, Compliance, Investor Relations and senior business stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of corporate, securities and capital markets strategy.
- Take ownership of matters and provide commercially focused advice to senior stakeholders.
About You
We are looking for a UK based lawyer with a background in corporate, capital markets and/or securities compliance, ideally with:
- Strong UK/EU corporate law experience.
- Experience or knowledge of corporate finance and capital markets.
- Exposure to US securities, SEC compliance or public company requirements.
- An interest in developing US securities and capital markets expertise.
- The confidence to work directly with senior stakeholders and C-suite executives.
- Strong commercial judgement and a strategic mindset.
A US LLM would be advantageous but is not essential.
The priority is a strong UK/EU corporate or capital markets lawyer with an additional US perspective for example, experience gained through a secondment to a US public company and the ambition to develop this expertise further.
We are open to junior to mid-level lawyers with a strong City background and a solid corporate and capital markets experience, ideally gained at a leading firm.
US exposure would be particularly attractive, such as a secondment to a US-listed company or experience advising on US securities and capital markets matters.
The Opportunity
A high-visibility role offering the opportunity to work closely with C-suite leadership, advise on significant corporate and securities matters, and play a meaningful role in shaping the business's US securities and broader corporate strategy.
