Job description

Project Manager

Retail Displays and Activation

Reports to: Senior Account Manager, Cardboards & Displays · Division: Retail displays, print & exhibitions

Location: Remote, with travel to suppliers, client sites and trade fairs · Type: Full time, permanent ·

Salary: £40,000- £45,000 dependent on experience

About the role

258 Group is a retail brand activation partner, we take consumer brands from concept to shop floor,

designing and manufacturing retail displays, installing and merchandising them in store, and running the

warehousing and marketplace activity behind them.

The Project Manager takes a client brief and runs it end to end: shaping the detail, booking it into design,

sourcing and pricing it, tracking delivery, getting it installed, invoicing it and evaluating it afterwards. You hold all the moving parts of a job together and you are accountable for it landing on time and at the margin we quoted. You report to the Senior Account Manager who owns the client relationship, and work closely with our in-house design team, UK and overseas suppliers, and our field marketing team for in-store execution.

You'll hold every moving part together and own the outcome: on time, on spec, on margin.

What you'll own

•     Brief: Take and interrogate client briefs, keep Monday current, chase missing detail early.

•     Design: Book and brief the design team, work through feasibility to print-ready artwork.

•     Sourcing & supply: Brief UK and overseas suppliers, compare quotes like-for-like, raise accurate POs.

•     Planning & delivery: Build and track the project plan, book logistics and installation, flag slippageearly.

•     Commercial: Protect the target margin, manage invoicing, reconcile actual against quoted cost.

•     Close-out: Capture the learnings and feed them back into how we quote and deliver.

What you'll bring to the team

Essential

•     Client-facing project management experience, running multiple live jobs at once

•     Confidence with numbers: quotes, margin and budgets are second nature

•     A track record managing suppliers on price, spec and lead time

•     Sharp organisation and an eye for detail

•     Clear, confident communication across clients, designers and suppliers

•     Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, UK and overseas

How you work: You chase the detail rather than wait for it, push back when a brief or spec is wrong, treat margin as yours to protect, and stay calm when timelines compress.

Desirable (we'll teach the right person)

  • Background in retail POS, display, print or packaging.
  • Understanding of corrugated construction, keylines and print.
  • Experience with Monday.com or a similar project/CRM system.
  • Exhibition stand or trade fair delivery.
  • Logistics and delivery planning.
