Planner

Thomas Thor is looking for a Planner

Job description

Project Bridge is one of the UK’s major nuclear infrastructure programmes, and we’re looking for a Planner to join the Project Controls team with EDF's direct partner company. You’ll take ownership of scheduling across a large-scale MEH (mechanical, electrical and HVAC alliance) scope, working closely with Cost and Risk colleagues to keep the programme on track from concept through to delivery.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and maintain project schedules across the full project lifecycle
  • Build ‘what-if’ scenario schedules to support key programme decisions
  • Extract, compare and analyse schedule data to track progress and performance
  • Spot emerging issues early, and drive them through to resolution and mitigation
  • Work closely with Cost and Risk teams to keep schedule, cost and risk fully aligned
  • Support NEC contract reporting and 4D/CAD planning outputs where required

What you’ll bring

  • A strong communicator, equally comfortable writing reports and presenting schedule updates to stakeholders
  • Solid experience as a Planner, ideally across the full lifecycle of major projects
  • Confidence extracting, comparing and analysing schedule data to support decision-making
  • A track record of building scenario (what-if) schedules
  • Experience identifying issues early and driving them to resolution
  • MEH background gained on large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects
  • A working understanding of Project Controls, and how schedule, cost and risk link together

Location

UK-based, with flexibility around site and hybrid working depending on programme needs.

This is a chance to plan one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes, with genuine influence over how it’s delivered.
