Production Operative - Abattoir

Job description

Staffline is recruiting candidates to work as a Production Operative within an abattoir environment at our clients' beef processing site.

Making sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday and the hours of work are:
- 6:30am to finish (around 1.30pm-2.30pm)

The rate of pay is £13.59 per hour.

Overtime is available and is paid at £17.00 per hour.

Production bonuses ranging from £30 to £80 per week may be available based on performance!

Duties to include packing tripe, weighing offal etc and trays can weigh 20-25kg.

Your Time at Work

The responsibilities of a Production Operative include:

  • Removing hides, heads and internal organs as required
  • Trimming and preparing carcasses for further processing, inspecting carcasses and identifying visible defects or contamination
  • Separating edible and non-edible by-products correctly
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the workstation during operations
  • Following food safety, hygiene and biosecurity procedures
  • Working in line with health and safety regulations
  • Wearing required protective clothing and PPE at all times

Our ideal Production Operative will be flexible, reliable, and keep in line with health and safety standards. They will work well as part of a team and independently to achieve targets set by the management team.

No previous experience is necessary as full training will be provided.

A focus on Health and Safety and Food Hygiene are essential for this role.
