A Production Operative / Trainee Machinist is required for an engineering company in the Rowley Regis area. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within an engineering environment, with full training provided internally. Previous engineering experience is beneficial, with a willingness to learn, good attitude and good work ethic being essential.

The successful candidate will be trained across a variety of engineering disciplines, including;

• Operating traditional lathes
• Operating bandsaws and drilling equipment
• Basic welding and small press operations
• Final product assembly
• General workshop and engineering duties

The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in. This is a long-term opportunity for someone looking to learn new skills and develop within a small business. You must be looking for a stable position and willing to learn and progress.

The role is -

• 8am - 5pm (2pm Fridays), working Monday - Friday
• £13.00 per hour to begin with
• Increasing to £13.50 per hour as training progresses
• Increasing to £14.00+ per hour once fully trained
