Pay: £18 to £22 per hour

A temporary opportunity is available for an HGV Class 1 Driver based in Solihull. This role is suited to an experienced driver who is confident completing retail store deliveries and providing a reliable, professional service.

It specialises in frozen food and also supplies a broader range of everyday groceries and household essentials. Its distribution and transport teams help maintain regular store deliveries and support efficient day-to-day retail operations.
Key responsibilities

• Complete planned retail store deliveries safely and efficiently
• Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects or issues
• Load, secure and handle goods in line with company procedures
• Complete delivery paperwork and obtain relevant delivery confirmations
• Maintain high standards of punctuality, customer service and professionalism
• Follow all applicable road safety, transport and site procedures Skills and qualifications
• Current HGV Class 1 driving entitlement
• Required Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Experience of retail store deliveries
• Good knowledge of road safety and drivers' hours requirements
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Physically able to support delivery and handling duties where required
