We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative with a valid Counterbalance FLT licence to join a well-established Derby-based manufacturing business.
This is an immediate-start, temp-to-perm opportunity for someone looking for a varied warehouse role with long-term prospects.
Hours: Monday to Friday on a rotating shift basis, likely to be:
06:0014:30
13:3022:00
Some flexibility will be required as shift times may change to cover holidays, sickness and operational requirements.
Pay: £13.44 per hour
The role This is not simply a forklift driving position . In fact, forklift work will make up only a small proportion of the job.
Duties will include:
Physically moving parts and products within the warehouse
Using LLOP and other warehouse equipment
Loading and unloading approximately three vehicles per day
Booking in parts, stock and incoming deliveries
Completing warehouse paperwork accurately
Counterbalance FLT work when required
Operating an overhead/gantry crane full training will be provided
General warehouse and stores duties
Potentially covering occasional local van deliveries
What we're looking for You must have:
Valid Counterbalance FLT licence with certificate available
Be a confident and highly competent Counterbalance operator the warehouse has tight working areas and high-value products
Good general warehouse experience
A good understanding of warehouse paperwork, stock and delivery procedures
Good attention to detail
Flexibility around working hours
A xohmjla practical, hands-on approach and willingness to carry out physical warehouse duties
A full manual UK driving licence with no or very few points would be highly desirable, as there may be opportunities to cover local van runs.
