Job description
Asset Management – Central London Office Assets
A well-established real estate business with a strong track record across some of London's most prominent office buildings is looking to appoint a Senior Asset Management.
The business works with institutional capital to reposition, lease and manage Central London office assets, with a strong track record of delivering major occupier deals - including significant City and West End requirements.
This is a standalone senior role with genuine ownership of assets from strategy through to execution. You'll take responsibility for live buildings, working directly with investors and playing a key role in shaping the strategy and performance of each asset.
The role
- Lead leasing strategy and execution across a portfolio of prime London office buildings, including large single-let and anchor transactions
- Manage surrenders, re-gears and rent reviews to protect and grow income
- Appoint and oversee third-party property managers, including agreeing terms, reviewing service charge and managing day-to-day performance
- Scope and manage refurbishment and Cat B fit-out programmes
- Oversee the interface between building management teams, landlord representatives and occupier fit-out teams
- Build the financial case behind asset management strategies and work closely with the investment team
- Contribute to wider asset strategy, including sales, refinancing and capital decisions
About you
- We're looking for an experienced asset manager with a strong track record of major London office leasing transactions.
- This is particularly suited to someone who has delivered large single-let or anchor deals rather than primarily working across high-volume, small-suite leasing.
- You'll be comfortable taking ownership of the full asset management remit, including leasing, lease restructuring, property management oversight and refurbishment.
- You'll also need to be commercially and numerically strong, with the ability to build, understand and present the business case behind an asset management strategy.
- Freeholder/headlease experience would be advantageous, as would MRICS, but neither is essential.
The opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a lean, entrepreneurial platform where you'll have genuine scope to shape the asset management function.
You'll take responsibility for live assets, work closely with the investment and development teams, and play a key role in the wider strategy of the business as it continues to expand.
If you're operating at Senior Asset Manager or early-stage Director level and are looking for greater influence and autonomy than you'd typically get within a larger platform, I'd be interested in hearing from you.
