Employment Solicitor NQ+

Bydand Recruitment Group is looking for a Employment Solicitor NQ+

Job description

Solicitor / Associate - Employment NQ+

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor / Associate (NQ-4 PQE) to join a highly regarded and growing Employment team in Manchester.

Location: Manchester

Salary: Dependent on Experience

PQE: NQ +

The Role

The team advises an impressive client base ranging from owner-managed businesses and SMEs through to listed and FTSE 100 companies, alongside senior executives on complex employment issues. The practice handles a genuinely broad mix of contentious, advisory and transactional employment work.

You will advise on matters including discrimination, reorganisations and redundancies, restrictive covenants, TUPE and Employment Tribunal claims, as well as providing employment support on corporate transactions. You'll work closely with colleagues across Corporate, Commercial and Dispute Resolution where matters require wider expertise.

The role has arisen through continued growth and offers significant client exposure and responsibility alongside the opportunity to become involved in the team's business development activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising employers and senior executives across contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Managing Employment Tribunal claims, including discrimination and other complex disputes
  • Advising on reorganisations, redundancies, restrictive covenants and TUPE
  • Providing employment support on corporate transactions
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice
  • Contributing to client training, knowledge initiatives and business development

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor from NQ +
  • Strong employment law experience gained within a recognised national or leading regional practice
  • Experience across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Commercial and solution-focused approach to advising clients
  • Strong drafting, communication and client management skills
  • Comfortable managing matters independently while working collaboratively within a wider team
  • Enthusiastic about business development and building long-term client relationships

Why This Role?

This is an excellent opportunity to join an award-winning and highly regarded Employment practice that continues to grow its client base and workload. You'll gain exposure to high-quality work for businesses ranging from entrepreneurial owner-managed companies through to major listed organisations, while maintaining a broad employment practice rather than specialising too early.

The team has a strong reputation for developing its lawyers and offers genuine opportunities for early responsibility, direct client contact and involvement in business development, making it particularly attractive for an ambitious junior Employment lawyer looking to build their career in the Manchester market
