Job description
A leading multinational organisation is looking for an experienced Interim Head of Corporate to join its legal team on an initial six-month contract. This is a senior, high-impact opportunity for a corporate lawyer who can hit the ground running, take ownership of a sophisticated international M&A portfolio and provide trusted advice to senior leadership.
Alongside the transactional work, you will have the opportunity to shape and evolve the corporate legal function, including exploring how AI, legal technology and new ways of working can improve the way the team operates.
THE ROLE
- Lead complex, high-value international M&A, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and wider corporate transactions.
- Own transactions end-to-end, from strategy and structuring through to negotiation and completion.
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior executives and business leaders on strategic corporate matters, risks and opportunities.
- Lead and coordinate internal teams and external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
- Provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives.
- Manage a varied and high-value transaction pipeline in a fast-paced international environment.
- Provide senior leadership and direction across the corporate legal agenda during the interim period.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the function through AI, legal technology and innovation.
- Build credibility quickly and establish yourself as a trusted senior legal adviser across the organisation.
ABOUT YOU
You will be a senior corporate lawyer with significant international M&A experience, comfortable operating at pace and advising at the highest levels of an organisation.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Extensive international M&A and corporate transaction experience, gained in-house within a global organisation or at a leading international law firm.
- A strong track record of leading complex, high-value and cross-border transactions.
- The seniority, confidence and gravitas to influence senior executives and stakeholders.
- Excellent commercial judgement and the ability to balance legal risk with wider business objectives.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills across multiple jurisdictions and cultures.
- The ability to operate autonomously, take ownership and make an immediate impact.
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment.
- A genuine interest in AI, legal technology and innovation, with the curiosity to find smarter ways of working.
This is an opportunity to step into a senior corporate leadership position, influence strategic decision-making and take responsibility for some of a global organisation's most important transactions.
