Description

  • A broad understanding of People, HR, OD and EDI functions.
  • The seniority and confidence to provide strategic leadership and deputise for the CPO when required.
  • Proven experience managing complex employee relations and medical workforce issues, including MHPS cases, hearings and appeals.
  • Solid knowledge of medical staffing, job planning and contractual matters.
  • Someone who can work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver at pace.
  • A flexible approach, with the ability to step into different areas of the People function as required.

Profile

A successful Interim Deputy Chief People Officer should have:

  • Proven expertise in Human Resources within the NHS.
  • Strong leadership and decision‑making skills.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and strategies.
  • Knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage employee relations and drive engagement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Job Offer

  • Competitive rate: £323.78 - £392.70/day, dependent on the level of experience.
  • 37/5 Hours per week
  • Minimum of three days per week will be required onsite
  • Temporary position within a well-known NHS Trust based in Essex.
