About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an RCVS Specialist, Diplomate (ECVIM/ACVIM) or residency trained clinician to join our established Internal Medicine team on a fixed-term (maternity cover) basis. We would ideally be looking for a candidate to work Monday to Wednesday but alternative work patterns could be considered.

The successful candidate would be working closely with other experienced colleagues, residency-trained clinicians or Specialists in diagnostic imaging, dermatology, cardiology, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, anaesthesia, soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics. You will have access to all the expected state-of-the-art equipment, including CT, fluoroscopy, 1.5 Tesla MRI and recently revamped endoscopy equipment and ultrasonography machines.

Supported by a highly qualified and experienced nursing team and radiographers, you will have an interesting and varied caseload and can benefit from the support of experienced colleagues both within ChesterGates and throughout the wider CVS Group. We are also an educational partner with the University of Surrey and have a team of rotating interns to satisfy those who enjoy teaching.

About You

  • Be residency-trained or hold Diplomate status in Internal Medicine (ECVIM/ACVIM)
  • Have current RCVS registration (MRCVS)
  • Be eligible to work in the United Kingdom
  • Have excellent English-language communication skills
  • Be interested in both acute and chronic medical cases
  • Enjoy a close-knit, supportive and motivated team environment
  • Work to high clinical standards of care, whilst being able to contextualise to the client and patient
