Electrical Project Manager

Transmission & Distribution | North East

£55,000-£65,000

I’m working with an established electrical engineering business that is growing its project team and looking to bring in experienced Project Managers with a strong Transmission & Distribution background.

They’re particularly interested in people who have worked on HV/EHV electrical infrastructure, substations, transmission or distribution projects and understand the technical and commercial side of delivering these types of projects.

We're looking for people with:

• Strong experience within Transmission & Distribution
• A background in HV/EHV, substations, grid connections or power infrastructure
• Previous Project Manager / Technical Project Manager / Electrical Project Manager experience
• Experience managing projects through delivery rather than purely design
• Good understanding of electrical engineering and construction
• Experience managing budgets, programmes and subcontractors
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills

You’ll be involved in:

• Managing electrical infrastructure projects from planning through to delivery
• Managing project programmes, budgets and resources
• Coordinating engineering, construction and subcontractor teams
• Managing client relationships and project requirements
• Reviewing technical information, drawings and specifications
• Supporting procurement and subcontractor management
• Managing H&S, quality, risk and compliance
• Providing technical input and resolving project issues
• Working closely with site, engineering and commercial teams

Experience with National Grid, DNOs, ICPs or major electrical contractors would be particularly relevant.
