Principal Consultant

We're supporting a growing energy transition consultancy looking to hire a commercially focused professional with experience across flexible energy markets and BESS.

This is an opportunity to join a high-growth business operating at the forefront of the energy transition, working across utility-scale storage, route-to-market strategy and evolving power market opportunities.

The role will suit someone coming from a commercial due diligence, strategy consulting, advisory or investment background who is looking to move into a more commercial, market-facing environment with genuine influence across growth strategy and business development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading commercial analysis across BESS and wider flexibility markets

• Supporting investment and strategic decision-making across storage opportunities

• Analysing evolving market dynamics including ancillary services, balancing mechanisms and merchant revenue opportunities

• Working closely with senior leadership on commercial strategy and market positioning

• Building relationships across investors, developers, utilities and wider market participants

• Supporting origination and new business activity across the energy transition landscape

• Contributing to thought leadership and broader platform growth initiatives

The successful individual is likely to come from a leading consultancy, advisory platform, market analytics business or investment environment with strong knowledge of flexible power markets and a commercially driven mindset.
