HGV Class 1 Driver - Manchester
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Manchester . This is an excellent short-term opportunity offering great rates of pay, consistent work, and a professional working environment throughout the busy peak period.
This role would suit candidates with experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Rates of Pay:
£19.00 per hour
Shift Pattern:
Day and night work available
7-day operation

Day-to-Day Duties:
As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will work:
Safely and efficiently operating Category CE vehicles
Delivering food products to store locations
Ensuring all loads are safely secured
Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Reporting any vehicle defects or issues to management
Completing deliveries in a timely and professional manner
Communicating effectively with the transport office regarding delays or issues
Complying with all driving regulations and Working Time Directive requirements
Completing all required paperwork accurately
Essential Skills:
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need:
A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
A minimum of two years' experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver
A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
A valid Digital Tachograph Card
No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN10, DR10, or DD10 endorsements)
Strong communication and customer service skills
A professional and safety-conscious approach to work
Training:
Paid site induction
Full industry-related training
Ongoing support throughout your assignment
Experience handling double-decker trailers would be advantageous
More than two years' Class 1 driving experience is desirable
