Job description
Senior Planner - New Build Housing
Northamptonshire
Up to £65,000 + Bonus + Package
We are working exclusively with a privately owned developer known for its strong reputation, and are proud to have achieved 5-star status for six consecutive years!
The company operates with a “working together” management style, and offers a more family feel environment compared to many other developers. It is not heavily KPI driven and instead values trust, autonomy, and people being able to manage their own workload.
You will report to the Land Director and be trusted to manage your own projects and planning function without constant pressure or micromanagement. The team is supportive, understanding, and realistic about life outside of work. Family comes first here, and flexibility is offered when needed.
The Role
You will oversee the planning process across residential developments, including
• Managing planning applications from submission through to approval
• Liaising with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders
• Supporting land and technical teams throughout the planning process
• Reviewing planning policy and identifying potential risks
• Coordinating external consultants and planning requirements
• Assisting with strategic planning across developments
What They’re Looking For
• Previous experience within planning, ideally in residential development or housebuilding
• Strong understanding of the UK planning system
• Someone who is organised and confident in managing multiple projects
• A team player with a steady and professional approach
What’s in it for you?
• Flexible working hours where needed
• Supportive management team
• Autonomy within your role
• Early finishes before Bank Holiday weekends
• Friday beers and social catch-ups in the office
• Long-term opportunity within a privately owned business
