Job description
Our client is a leading design studio known for creating distinctive, highly considered luxury hospitality interiors that respond thoughtfully to culture, community and context. Their collaborative, design-led approach combines creativity, curiosity and meticulous attention to detail to deliver meaningful spaces. On their behalf, we are seeking an experienced Interior Designer with a minimum of three years’ experience in interior design and project delivery.
Working as part of the wider project team, the Designer will contribute to projects from concept through to completion, taking responsibility for specific areas and supporting the delivery of high-quality design. Responsibilities will include developing creative concepts, undertaking design research, coordinating with FF&E teams, and assisting with clients, operators, consultants, suppliers and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will contribute to the production of high-quality presentations, drawing packages, specifications and schedules, while ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed programmes and standards. Strong communication skills and a professional, engaging and diplomatic manner are essential, along with the ability to manage deadlines and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
The role will also involve attending supplier meetings, developing technical and design knowledge, contributing to a positive studio environment and supporting more junior members of the team where appropriate. A proactive approach to improving processes and developing new skills is highly valued.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, a keen eye for colour, materials, composition and form, and good freehand sketching skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Office is required, alongside good knowledge of SketchUp. Experience with Revit, Enscape, 3D Studio Max or Rhino would be advantageous.
1-2 days WFH.
