HGV Class 2 Driver

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client based in Portishead, near the football club.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential to become permanent after 13 weeks, subject to successfully passing probation. (New passes are welcome)

• £16 per hour

• 39-hour basic working week

• MondayThursday: 7:00am4:45pm

• Friday: 7:00am3:45pm

• 1 hour overtime per day paid at time and a half for when you start at 07:00am when you go permanent.

• Earlier starts may be required during busier periods

• Temp-to-perm opportunity

Daily responsibilities will include:

• Vehicle walk-around checks

• Strapping and securing loads

• Multi-drop deliveries

• Approximately 810 deliveries per day

• Deliveries across Bristol, Gloucester, Somerset and Wiltshire

• Very, little handball, as you are dealing with steel the majority of loading and unloading is completed by forklift
