Key responsibilities

Carry out HGV Class 1 driving duties safely and responsibly

Complete vehicle checks before and after journeys

Secure and handle loads in line with relevant safety requirements

Deliver and collect goods according to planned schedules

Complete delivery paperwork accurately

Maintain a professional approach when dealing with customers and site contacts

Report any vehicle, load or delivery issues promptly

Skills and qualifications

Valid HGV Class 1 driving entitlement

Relevant commercial driving experience

Good knowledge of road safety and transport procedures

A responsible approach to vehicle checks, load security and compliance

Good timekeeping and reliability

Ability to work independently and follow instructions

Professional communication skills
