Junior Facade Designer

Main Duties

  • Produce detailed design and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Review and interpret architectural drawings & specifications,
  • Ensure designs comply with system supplier requirements, UK Building Regulations, and relevant British Standards.
  • Coordinate with line manager & site teams throughout the design process.
  • Manage drawing revisions, technical submissions, and approval processes.
  • Provide technical support and respond to design-related queries to assist successful project delivery.
  • Support the development of practical, compliant, and cost-effective design solutions.

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Experience within the façade, aluminium glazing, curtain walling, or fenestration industry.
  • Experience working with at least one of the following systems: Reynaers, WICONA, Aluprof, Schüco, or Metal Technology.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD with the ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
  • Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret technical and architectural drawings.
  • Good working knowledge of UK/Ireland Building Regulations and relevant British Standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a project team.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience working for a façade subcontractor, glazing contractor, or specialist building envelope contractor.
  • Familiarity with CWCT standards and industry best practices.
  • Understanding of curtain walling, window, door, and rainscreen cladding systems.
  • Experience coordinating designs with architects, consultants, and contractors.

Working Hours:

  • Monday-Thursday: 8-5
  • Friday: 8-2

Annual leave: 31 Days (Set using CEF Guidleline)
