Pay Rate: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
Workchain are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to work with our client based in Burton upon Trent .
This is a great opportunity for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Driver looking for temporary driving work with the potential for ongoing assignments.
The Role As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your main responsibility will be the safe and efficient delivery of goods to customers across Burton upon Trent and the surrounding areas.
Duties will include:
Safely operating an HGV Class 2 vehicle

Completing local and regional deliveries

Carrying out vehicle checks before and after shifts

Ensuring goods are transported safely and securely

Completing delivery paperwork and relevant documentation

Following planned delivery routes and schedules

Liaising professionally with customers at delivery locations

Ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and on time

Complying with all road safety regulations and company procedures

Reporting any vehicle defects or issues to the appropriate person

Maintaining a professional attitude while representing the company

Requirements To be considered for this position, you will need:
A valid HGV Class 2 / Cat C licence

Valid Driver CPC

Valid Digital Tachograph Card

Previous experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles

A good understanding of drivers' hours and road transport regulations

A safe and responsible approach to driving

Good communication and customer service skills

Reliability and good timekeeping

The ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively

Previous experience in a similar delivery or distribution role would be advantageous. Xohmjla

Temporary position with potential for ongoing work

Regular support from the Workchain driving team
