HGV Class 1 Driver Castle Donington Weekend Work Available | Immediate Starts | Up to £24.00 Per Hour We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers on behalf of our client based in Castle Donington (DE74 2HJ). This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for well-paid weekend work with a leading logistics provider, offering regular shifts and immediate starts.

The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.
The Role As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of chilled and ambient goods to Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) and customer sites.
Drivers will be completing all driving duties associated with trunking and store deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
Previous experience with double deck, curtain-side or refrigerated trailers would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
Available Shifts We have a range of weekend start times available:
Friday: Start times between 1:00am and 12:00pm

Saturday: Afternoon starts

Sunday: All start times available

Monday: Start times to be confirmed

Pay Rates Saturday
Days: £22.00 per hour

Nights: £23.00 per hour

Sunday
Days: £23.00 per hour

Nights: £24.00 per hour

Duties Delivery and collection of chilled and ambient goods

Trunking and RDC deliveries

Completing vehicle safety checks before and after each shift

Accurately completing all delivery paperwork

Maintaining compliance with DVSA regulations and working time legislation

Providing a professional service to customers at all times

Requirements To be successful in this role, you must have:
A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence

A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card

A valid Digital Tachograph Card

A minimum of 2 years' HGV Class 1 driving experience

No more than 6 penalty points

No DR, DD or IN endorsements

A reliable and self-motivated approach to work

A professional, customer-focused attitude

Good physical fitness

Flexibility with start times and working days

Direct-to-store delivery experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
