HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver - South Cerney
People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers to join a growing waste and recycling operation in South Cerney and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering stability, great earning potential, and long-term progression within refuse and recycling services.
This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Refuse Truck Driver.
Shifts:
Monday to Friday
06:30 start times
Rates of Pay: £16.00 to £18.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
As an HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver, your duties will include:
Carrying out full daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
Driving the refuse vehicle safely along assigned collection routes
Operating bin-lifting equipment to empty waste and recycling containers
Working safely as part of a collection crew and following loading signals
Ensuring all waste is collected efficiently and routes are completed
Following strict health and safety procedures at all times, especially in public areas
Recording and reporting issues such as missed bins, contamination, or access problems
Essential Skills:
To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver, you will need:
A valid UK Category C Licence
A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
No more than six penalty points for minor offences
Reliability, professionalism, and punctuality
Good communication and customer service skills
Understanding of road safety and compliance
Ability to work as part of a team in a physically demanding role
Desirable Experience:
Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Previous experience driving HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver vehicles in waste management or a similar environment
Experience working in outdoor or physically demanding roles
Training:
Full industry-related training provided
Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
