A general haulage operation in the Loughborough area is looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join its team on a temporary basis. This role is suited to a reliable tramper driver who is confident working independently and completing deliveries safely and efficiently.

This is a general haulage business based in the Loughborough area of Leicestershire. The operation supports the movement of goods by road and is seeking dependable professional drivers to assist with its day-to-day transport requirements.

The role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

Completing planned delivery and collection routes
Carrying out vehicle safety checks before and after journeys
Securing loads correctly and completing required paperwork
Maintaining safe, legal and professional driving standards
Communicating appropriately with transport staff and delivery points
Working away from base as required in a tramper-style role

About you

You should have:

A valid HGV Class 1 driving licence
The relevant Driver CPC qualification and a valid digital tachograph card
Previous experience working as a tramper
A strong understanding of drivers hours and road safety requirements
A dependable, professional and flexible approach
Good communication skills and a commitment to customer service
