General Manager - Grandstand Pub - Salary up to £44k plus bonus & benefits

Marston’s is one of the UK’s largest and most loved pub companies, operating more than 1,300 pubs, bars and hotels across the UK. We’re now looking for a great General Manager to lead one of our Grandstand pubs - high-energy, sports-led venues built for atmosphere, great food and unforgettable moments.

Grandstand is coming to Derbyshire in February 2027!

Featuring huge screens, top-tier entertainment, great food and drink, and an unbeatable atmosphere, we don't just show sport, we live it. From matchdays to live music and major sporting occasions, Grandstand pubs bring local communities and fans together.

These are fast-paced pubs where sport, food and drink come together to drive strong performance and local loyalty. We’re looking for a commercially focused operator whose comfortable leading busy services, building energy through events and atmosphere, and delivering great guest experiences. Previous food experience is essential, with branded food experience a strong advantage.

About the Pub

The Catchems is a lovely community pub situated in Swadlincote, Derbyshire and is due to undergo a significant capex investment that will see the pub transform into our Grandstand format.

Comprising of a split operation with one side of the pub currently designated as the bar for drinking trade and a dining area providing a strong, popular food offering.

Currently trading at an average of £15,000 per week in net sales, The Catchems delights guests with Sky sports, pool and darts facilities and also boasts an outdoor seating area with TV and children's play area.

This pub provides strong footfall and offers the perfect platform for a seasoned General Manager to optimise and lead through an exciting capex investment.

Management accommodation is available in the form of a 2 bedroom flat.
