Senior Technical Cyber Security Consultant

Location: UK Remote / Hybrid

Clearance: SC Clearance

Are you an experienced Cyber Security professional looking to work on high-impact projects across Defence, Government and other highly regulated environments?

We're seeking a client facing Cyber Security Consultant to join a growing consultancy delivering security assurance, Secure by Design and cyber risk services across complex technology programmes.

This role offers the opportunity to work across the full systems engineering lifecycle, helping clients design, assure and secure critical systems while collaborating with a variety of technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver cybersecurity and information assurance consultancy across complex projects and programmes.
• Support secure solution design, implementation and assurance activities.
• Conduct security assurance and accreditation activities.
• Assess organisations against frameworks and standards including NIST, CAF, Cyber Essentials and Secure by Design.
• Work closely with technical teams across infrastructure, cloud and SaaS environments.
• Build trusted client relationships and provide expert security guidance.
• Support business development, pre-sales activities and tender responses.
• Stay current with emerging cyber threats, technologies and industry best practices.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years' experience delivering cyber security consultancy services.
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server, Linux and enterprise IT environments.
• Experience with Security Assurance and Accreditation activities.
• Knowledge of JSP440, JSP604/453 and Secure by Design principles.
• Understanding of traditional infrastructure, cloud platforms and SaaS solutions.
• Experience working with multiple technical and engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications

• CISSP
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
• Technical Degree or equivalent experience
• Chartered Cyber Security Professional status
• Defence, Government or public sector experience
