HGV Class 2 Driver

Location: Gloucester
Pay: £16 per hour
Job type: Permanent
Shift: Nights

A permanent opportunity is available for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a general haulage operation in Gloucester. This night-shift role involves delivering goods safely and efficiently to retail stores.

Key responsibilities

Completing multi-drop deliveries, typically involving more than 10 drops
Carrying out retail store deliveries across planned routes
Loading and unloading goods using handball methods
Operating a tail lift safely and correctly
Completing delivery paperwork and following site procedures
Maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and customer service
Working responsibly and professionally throughout each shift

Skills and qualifications

Relevant HGV Class 2 driving entitlement
Previous experience in multi-drop delivery work
Experience with handball deliveries
Experience using a tail lift
Experience completing retail store deliveries
A reliable, safety-conscious and professional approach
Good route planning, time management and communication skills
Ability to work independently during night shifts
