An exciting opportunity has opened for an Operations Manager to join a leading global live events and audiovisual business, based at a busy venue in Uxbridge.
Working closely with the Technical Events Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operational delivery of events, coordinating teams, equipment and resources to ensure everything runs smoothly from setup through to breakdown. This is a hands-on leadership role combining AV operations, people management, client service and commercial responsibility.
The Role
- Lead the operations team across daily AV setups, event delivery and strikes
- Plan staffing levels and allocate resources in line with the venue’s event schedule
- Oversee the delivery of AV equipment, ensuring everything arrives on time and is set up to the required standard
- Manage on-site equipment and inventory, sourcing internally wherever possible before arranging external sub-hires
- Maintain strong working relationships with venue teams, clients, suppliers and internal departments
- Work closely with Sales and Technical teams to coordinate upcoming events and operational requirements
- Support invoicing and billing activity, ensuring information is accurate and completed efficiently
- Attend venue operational meetings and act as a key point of contact for day-to-day delivery
- Lead, coach and develop operational team members, including performance management and training
- Ensure health and safety procedures are consistently followed across the venue
- Keep up to date with developments in AV technology and identify equipment requirements
About You
You’ll have a strong background in live events and audiovisual operations, with experience coordinating large-scale events and leading operational teams. You’ll be comfortable working hands-on with AV equipment while also managing people, resources, schedules and client relationships.
Experience within a hotel, venue, conference, events or live production environment would be particularly relevant, alongside a good working knowledge of AV technology and live event delivery.
What’s on Offer
This is a great opportunity to join an established international events business with access to high-quality AV technology, varied live events and clear opportunities for progression.
